Welcome to Blindside Publishing, an industry which has changed time and time again in its life since March 1998.

This site was originally created as a holding tank for Exodus Magazine, a webzine that closed in mid-1999. Next, in the early months of 1999, came plans for The Cooperative and Virtual Lobotomy. The Cooperative was planned to be an irregularly published full-sized magazine of collaborative fiction (written by writers unaware of their writing partners at the time of composition), a scant amount of unsolicited short fiction, and black and white photography. Virtual Lobotomy, on the other hand, was planned to be a one-time hardcover anthology featuring psychological horror. Both, however, were closed on September 12, 2000 before ever being released for personal reasons.

Somewhere in-between came Project Pulp, an online store founded in May of 1999. This website, which still persists like a stubborn toddler, sells small press magazines, anthologies, chapbooks, novels, artwork, music CDs, and other such artistic endeavors. This site has, by no stretch of the truth, become the most popular limb on Blindside Publishing's gnarled tree.

Finally in July 2001, Blindside Publishing re-committed itself to the print publishing world and announced Wicked Hollow, a 4" x 5" magazine of horror fiction, poetry, and art meant to easily fit in one's pocket, purse, backpack, car's center console, or wherever you want so you can read it at your earliest convenience. Leave that cellular phone alone; read instead.

Blindside Publishing remains determined to be the best source available for writers and readers concerning horror and blendings thereof. Blindside will continue to strive for excellence through publishing (both electronic and print), sites like Project Pulp, and other things to come. Keep your ear to the ground by kneeling here every so often.

If you find any mistakes with the site or would like to make any suggestions (of course, praise is also welcome), you may contact me, the editor and webmaster of Blindside Publishing, at blindside@blindside.net.

Thank you for visiting Blindside Publishing.

Sincerely,
Jon Hodges
